ELIF CAPCI

Beymen is the upscale fashion retailer of the Boyner Group which is one of Turkey's foremost industrial groups comprising 12 companies. Operating under the philosophy of 'Unconditional Customer Satisfaction', Beymen opened its first store in 1971 and thus paved the way for the ready-to-wear revolution in Turkey.

Today Beymen operates 37 stores throughout Turkey, 4 out of these stores are company-owned, and the remaining ones are franchisees. Total sales area has risen from 7,000 square feet in 1971 to 320,000 square feet in 1997. What started as a men's wear store has grown into-an empire spanning fashion for the whole family, beauty and home decoration.

In 1994, Beymen took the operation one step further and opened the Beymen Megastore in the Akmerkez Shopping Mall which marks a brand new era in mall shopping in Turkey, a gathering of exclusive local and international brands. Beymen product lines include Women's wear, Men's wear, Casual wear, Kids collections, Underwear, Shoes and Accessories, Home Arts & Collection, Furniture, Cosmetics and Executive Service. Ermenegildo Zegna, Versace Classic V2, Givenchy, Sonia Rykiel, Charles Jourdan, Corneliani Donna Karan, Faconnable, Christian Dior, Ozbek, Karl Lagerfeld, Guess and Moschino are some of the 234 international names carried in Beymen Megastores.

Over the course of 26 years, Beymen has proudly put its signature on numerous 'firsts' in diverse areas. One of the exciting examples of these is the 'Unconditional Customer Satisfaction' philosophy guaranteeing customers a host of services never before offered in Turkey. Services range from individual tailoring, life time free alterations, product change and/or return, to Beymen Executive Service, home and office delivery, Beymen Credit Card, night shopping, gift certificates and countless others. Beymen's long list of inspired ideas has included encouragement of young, new talents. In 1996, Beymen sponsored and organized the very first 'World Young Designers Contest' of the IAF.
